On first glance, Geoffrey Shawcross (the cute sidekick from 'Hetty Wainthropp Investigates') and Jamie Holmes (a boy with Aspergers from the 'Taggart' episode 'Dead Man's Chest') don't have anything in common. Yet, some of us can -and do- imagine what it would be like if the paths of those two very different people would cross. This mainly because they were portrayed by Dominic Monaghan (Geoffrey) and Billy Boyd (Jamie), who are inseparable in the minds of many fans of Lord of the Rings' Merry and Pippin, but also because their characters seem strangely compatible.
